Breakpoint: The Silence After the Storm
Nobody talks about the moment you stop chasing β not because you gave up, but because you finally arrived
𧩠Breakpoint:
About four years ago, I stood at a crossroads. My biggest problem wasn't skill or opportunity β it was uncertainty. I didn't know what I wanted. So I did what any stubborn dreamer does: I created.
Photoshop became my sandbox β where creativity met caffeine and pixels turned into therapy.. I spent countless nights crafting digital art, pixel by pixel, chasing something I couldn't yet name. I'll share some of that work here β not because it's perfect, but because it's part of the story.
π The Shift That Changed Everything
Then came the shift. I wanted more β not just progress, but purpose. So I started learning, ticking boxes like a machine, year after year. And finally, I found it: Cybersecurity. For some, it's a distant dream. For others, an impossible climb. For me? It was a decision. A commitment. A line drawn in digital concrete.
I tuned out the noise. I got obsessed. Labs, walkthroughs, analogies, late nights β I didn't just study the field, I lived in it. I expressed myself in every way I could: through code, through metaphors, through shared knowledge. That's where most people stall β they wait for permission. I didn't.
Mid-30s and I knew. I landed my first job as an IT technician. For some, it's a stepping stone. For others, a detour. For me? A calculated move. A two-year mission. I told myself: if I'm still here after that, I've missed the mark.
I didn't miss it.
Just like my IT CareerSwitch program β designed for two years, completed in 1.5 β I heard the call and answered. I gave everything I had. And now? I got my response.
Soon, I won't be an IT technician anymore. The plan worked. The era ends.
π§ From Warehouse Floors to Higher Ground
This blog started in the quiet aftermath of the warehouse grind β a space I carved out to document the climb. Back then, the plan was simple: I'd start posting once I left that life behind, and I'd stop once I landed a cybersecurity job.
Well⦠I got the job. But the story didn't end there. The target shifted.
Now, I aim higher β beyond titles, beyond roles. I'm pressing pause on blog posts and articles, not because the journey's over, but because it's entering a new phase. I'll be channeling everything I've learned into building labs β clear, accessible, and designed to help others rise.
π― The Target Shifted β The Mission Didn't
The target changed.
I'm not just aiming for a cybersecurity role anymore. Why? Because it was never just about the role. It was about chasing the dream. And now that I've caught it? I aim higher.
If you're wondering whether I got the job β yes, I did. But the glory? It's not mine alone. I did the grinding, sure. I showed up, day after day. But I learned something deeper along the way: success isn't a solo mission. You need the right people in your corner, the right mindset in your head, and faith in God anchoring your heart. And above all β a relentless hope that refuses to quit, even when you feel like it might.
Now, I'm not slowing down β I'm shifting gears. The goal isn't just to be good. It's to be undeniable. Ten times the effort. Ten times the growth. Where it leads? I don't know. But I'm ready.
I'm stepping away from blog posts for a while β not to rest, but to rebuild. Everything I've learned is going into LabVault: labs that are clear, visual, and built to elevate others. Not just walkthroughs β blueprints for breakthroughs.
I'll help. I'll teach. I'll inspire. That's the mission now. And honestly? That's a pretty good goal, isn't it?
Stopping isn't failure. It's the first time you hear your own voice again.
