A Night Owl’s Quest for Cybersecurity Mastery
As the city sleeps, I find myself in a different kind of network—a learning one. Each night, I dedicate 3-4 hours to mastering Security+ SY0-701. It's a silent promise, a quick reminder to my future self of the path I've chosen.
I started with Dion's course on Udemy. Truth be told, it felt a bit like a marathon with no finish line—informative, yet somehow lacking the spark. Next, I turned to Meyers' course, expecting the usual flair and fun. But alas, it was not to be; the course felt disconnected from the exam's core, focusing more on Kali Linux tools than what I really needed.
Now, I've embarked on a new chapter with Professor Messer's course. I'm a big fan of his work, and I have high hopes that this will be the game-changer I need. Once I've absorbed the wisdom and tackled enough practice tests—aiming for that sweet spot above 90%—I'll book the exam.
Stay tuned, as I'll be back with updates, and hopefully, a triumphant post-exam blog entry.
